Led by Chad and Eleanor Laurans, co-founders of SimpliSafe, our team of entrepreneurs, engineers, and strategists leverage deep industry and customer insights to identify urgent, unsolved problems and support founders in developing breakthrough innovations.
Position Overview:
We are seeking highly motivated and entrepreneurial 2nd year MBA Interns to join our team. As an MBA Intern, you will work directly with our partners and portfolio companies, gaining hands-on experience in the startup ecosystem. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of early-stage companies while learning from experienced entrepreneurs and investors. Full term opportunities are possible post-graduation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pilot Program Management: Support the design and implementation of pilot programs to test new business ideas, gather feedback, and iterate on solutions.
- Market and Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging opportunities in the climate and education sectors.
- Financial Modeling and Analysis: To support decision-making and develop and analyze financial models for potential investments and portfolio companies.
- Operational Support: Collaborate with portfolio companies on strategic projects, including business development, marketing initiatives, sales calls, and operational improvements.
- Strategic Planning: Assist in the formulation and execution of strategic plans for new and existing ventures, including go-to-market strategies and product roadmaps.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations to the Workshop team and portfolio companies.
- Talent & Recruiting: Network with founders to source potential investment opportunities and talent for studio-built companies. Conduct sourcing and screening of early hires for portfolio companies.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an MBA or other advanced degree program or recent graduate with relevant experience; expected graduation within a year
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
